Terms of Service
Last updated October 10, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Alkahest — the hosted service at alkahest.app, its API, and its remote MCP connector (together, the "Service").
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by ioxyz, a sole proprietorship registered in the Republic of Korea (representative: Joonhee Cho). When these Terms say "we", "us" or "our", they mean ioxyz. By using the Service you enter into an agreement with ioxyz.
2. Accepting these Terms
By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you agree on its behalf and confirm you are authorized to do so. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Continuing to use the Service after we post changes to these Terms means you accept the changes; for material changes we will give notice by email or in the Service before they take effect.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials, API tokens and connector URLs secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, including activity by AI agents and other tools you connect using your tokens. Tell us promptly at cr8rcho@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to the content you put into the Service — maps, issues, notes, tasks, comments and anything else you publish ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, store, copy, process and display Your Content only as needed to operate and improve the Service for you, and to share it with the people and integrations you choose. You are responsible for having the rights to Your Content. The Alkahest CLI derives maps from your code locally; your source files are not uploaded unless you put them into the Service yourself.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, or to infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy;
- use the Service for fraud, spam, phishing or distributing malware;
- probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service, bypass its security or access controls, or interfere with its operation (including by overloading it);
- access the Service by automated means beyond the API and connector we provide, or resell the Service without our written permission.
6. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design and trademarks, is owned by us and protected by law. The Alkahest CLI is separately licensed under the MIT License, and that license governs your use of the CLI. Nothing in these Terms grants you any other right to our intellectual property.
7. Plans, payment and subscriptions
Plans. The Free plan is free of charge and includes one editor seat per workspace. The Pro plan is billed per editor seat — a user who can edit content in a workspace. Viewers are free on every plan. Current prices are listed on our pricing page.
Reseller. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Purchases are also subject to Paddle's buyer terms.
Billing frequency and renewal. Pro subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or yearly as you choose at checkout, and renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
Seat changes. Seats you add are charged immediately, prorated for the rest of the current billing period. Seats you remove are removed immediately, with no credit for the rest of the current billing period; the next renewal is billed for the new number of seats. You cannot reduce the number of seats below the number of people who can edit the workspace.
Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from the workspace's Billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; Pro features stay available until then, after which the workspace returns to the Free plan. The Free plan has one editor seat: when a subscription ends, one owner keeps edit access and everyone else who could edit the workspace keeps view-only access. The workspace's owners choose that owner before the subscription ends; if none is chosen, it is the owner who purchased the subscription or, failing that, the longest-standing owner. Your Content is not deleted when a subscription ends.
Fees and taxes. Prices are shown in US dollars or in your local currency. Sales tax, VAT or GST is calculated by Paddle based on your location and, depending on your country, is either included in the displayed price or added at checkout.
Price changes. We may change prices for future billing periods. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before a price change applies to your subscription.
Refunds. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
8. Third-party services
The Service works with services we do not control — for example GitHub sign-in, AI assistants you connect to the MCP connector, and Slack or Discord webhooks you configure. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and data you send to them through the Service is handled under their policies.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us at cr8rcho@gmail.com to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if your use creates a security or legal risk, or if required by law. Where reasonable we will notify you first and give you a chance to export Your Content.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, or that maps derived from your code will be complete or accurate. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
